Dato’ Indera Hj. Ab Karim bin Hj. Ab Rahman is a former High Court Judge of Shah Alam. He commenced his career in 1983 as an assistant legislator of law, and his remarkable trajectory led him to assume the role of State Legal Advisor at the Legal Advisor’s Office in Terengganu and Perlis.
Throughout his tenure in this position, he made significant contributions to various committees and organizations, including his role as a Committee Member for Islamic Law Standardization. Following his tenure as State Legal Advisor, he garnered further distinction as a Judicial Commissioner at the High Court in Kuantan, Kuala Lumpur, and Selangor after which he was appointed as the Chairman of the Advisory Board at the Prime Minister’s Department.
Dato’ Indera Hj. Ab Karim bin Hj. Ab Rahman authored the 3rd Edition of the Bench Book (Civil Procedure & Criminal Procedure and Evidence). He also demonstrated a strong commitment to professional development by actively participating in courses and seminars during his time in the Judicial and Legal Service.
In recognition of his exceptional contributions to the field of law and his dedicated service to the nation, Dato’ Indera Hj. Ab Karim bin Hj. Ab Rahman has received several prestigious honors and titles, including the revered Darjah Kebesaran Mahkota Pahang Yang Amat Mulia – Peringkat Pertama Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang (SIMP) conferred by His Royal Highness the Sultan of Pahang, Bintang Darjah Kebesaran Mahkota Terengganu (D.P.M.T) in the year 2000 and the Pingat Jasa Cemerlang (P.J.C) in the year 2002.
